Advantage PC Consulting was launched in late 1991 to serve the growing
needs of local small businesses and individuals who are uncomfortable with
evaluating, selecting, purchasing, and implementing personal computers
and networks.
We realized that while x86 motherboards and CPUs were easily
obtainable from a variety of sources, the supply of DEC Alpha motherboards
and CPUs was nearly non-existent, unless you wanted to buy a full system
from DEC or one of the Alpha OEMs ("clone" manufacturers). To meet the needs
of the demanding do-it-yourself Alpha customer, which includes a rapidly growing
Linux user base along with Windows NT and UNIX users, we are now able to
offer these bundles at very aggressive price points thanks to our low overhead.
The products we sell are new (or like-new, with less than thirty days' use),
and each is successfully tested with known-good components before shipping.
